Town-wide Slurry Seal Project Begins Today in Mammoth Lakes
The Town’s Slurry Seal Project begins today (6/10) and will impact several roads throughout Town this week.
The Contractor will be applying a slurry seal, a mixture of water, asphalt emulsion, and fine aggregate that revitalizes and extends the life of asphalt pavement, to several Town roads over the next two weeks. After application, the seal requires 5 hours to cure and dry.
Residents and visitors should expect delays and detours on the roads receiving a seal that are listed below:
Monday, June 10:
- Forest Trail from Knob Hill Lane to Main Street
- Old Mammoth Road (Westbound) from Club Drive to Minaret Road
- Azimuth Drive from Chateau Road to Meridian Blvd.
- Chateau Road from Old Mammoth Road to the east end
Tuesday, June 11:
- Forest Trail from Minaret Road to Knob Hill Lane
- Old Mammoth Road (Eastbound) from Club Drive to Minaret Road
- Chateau Road from Minaret Road to Old Mammoth Road
Wednesday, June 12:
- Forest Trail from Canyon Blvd. to Minaret Road
- Minaret Road (northbound) from Meridian Blvd. to Old Mammoth Road
- Azimuth Drive from Meridian Blvd. to Sierra Nevada Road
